Porsche Cup action in the night of Interlagos!
With 13th and 18th place respectively in the overall standings of the GSR Porsche Cup and one week after round 1, Linus and Alex went to Interlagos, Brazil. On the slightly different version (with chicane on the last straight) there is a lot of action!
With a great qualifying session and top 10 grid positions they entered the first of 2 races. In an accident that he could not avoid, Alex had to retire the car early again. Linus, on the other hand, was able to assert himself strongly, benefited from an accident in the previously mentioned chicane and finished the first race in 3rd place behind Nick Schulte-Wissermann and and Marvin Strehl.
With reversed starting grid order, after a short warm-up, we started into race 2. Accordingly, Linus was allowed to start in 13th place. After the accident from the 1st race, Alex resumed the race from position 31. Under the clear night sky in Brazil, it was again a short appearance for Alex. A crash in front of him again forced him to retire early. Also for Linus the 2nd race ended more than unfortunate. As a result, the overall standings for both drivers will not change too much.
In the coming week the race will take place at Sebring International Raceway.
